Balloon Lighting in Agriculture

May 23, 2017

As we’ve discussed in previous posts, there are a wide range of interesting uses for balloon lighting. From alternative sports lighting solutions to inventive decorations, balloons remain an excellent option. One side of the work we do at Balloominations has not yet, however, been discussed. Using balloon lighting in agriculture is becoming increasingly more popular, and presents the opportunity for you to continue working past the natural restraints of daylight. Here, we take a look at some of the ways balloon lights can be used to help in the agricultural sector.

Night work

As mentioned above, the most obvious and prominent benefit of using balloon lights in agriculture is that it extends the working day. The heavy workload that almost invariably accompanies agriculture sometimes calls for more hours of daylight, especially during peak times. While tractor lights may help to an extent, more manual labour at night requires effective lighting if health and safety considerations are to be observed. It is often said that agriculture is considered one of the riskiest industries out there; health and safety is, therefore, of paramount importance.

Another important consideration for agricultural lighting is the weather. If the products fail in high winds or heavy rain, they’re not going to be effective in England. Our balloon lighting is durable, and is designed to withstand the testing conditions of the British outdoors.

Balloon lighting is transportable, requires minimal setup time, and can be used on a variety of different surface types. All three of these points are especially important to consider in the field of agriculture.

Firstly, wasting valuable working hours setting up lights is not something you’ll need to worry about when using balloon lights; with an approximate erection time of eight minutes, the balloon lighting provided here at Balloominations offers an almost instant lighting solution. Secondly, balloon lighting is generally very light, weighing around 25kg with a stand attached. This allows quick transportation, and means the products can be assembled in a variety of different positions over the course of one session.

Finally, the lightweight nature of balloon lights makes them adaptable to a number of different surfaces. As they only require minutes to set up, the lights can be moved around and set up on a variety of different grounds. Heavier, more cumbersome lighting solutions often require flat or special surfaces, but that is not the case with balloon lighting solutions.
