Balloon Lighting: a Basic Explanation

June 6, 2017

Why Balloons?

Balloon lights are so named, unsurprisingly, because of their shape. There’s a little more to it than just that, though. The name also comes from the fabric, round surrounding material to the lights; this is where the design becomes really clever. That material is extremely effective at defusing the light, softening its glare and dispersing it around the desired area. Certain variations of the product contain a reflective material inside the balloon material, pointing the light downwards more than out.

A variety of uses

As we have discussed before, there are a wide, wide range of uses for balloon lights. From working in agriculture to providing alternative solutions at festivals, the possibilities are endless (provided a light is required, that is). It is the versatile nature of balloon lighting that makes them so attractive to event organisers both in the Midlands and around the country.
